SaxonAir secures 10 year aircraft handling contract with Norwich Airport

Private Air Travel company, SaxonAir has been awarded a 10 year contract as the preferred Handling Agent to supply ground handling services at Norwich Airport for all non-scheduled business, private and general aviation aircraft. This recent development follows last month's announcement that full planning permission for SaxonAir's new £6 Million Business Aviation Centre at Norwich Airport has been granted and construction of the new purpose built facility is already well underway. The new dedicated Business Aviation Centre and apron facility will provide SaxonAir an enviable first class facility to meet the growing demands of the business aviation market.

Commenting on the new contract, Managing Director, Chris Mace said; 'SaxonAir are very proud to have been selected to provide executive ground handling at Norwich International Airport, which underlines our reputation to deliver safe, high quality service at competitive prices.'

Since it was established in 2007, SaxonAir has experienced continued growth despite recent economic conditions and bucking the trend in general aviation. The Private Air Charter Company owns and operates a fleet of private jets and VIP helicopters as well as offering both aircraft management and handling services. In recent years it has experienced a 30% increase in the number of movements at Norwich Airport and has handled a wide variety of aircraft from General Aviation to VIP flights including the Prime Minister, Celebrities, Royalty, Foreign Ministers and The Red Arrows.

'SaxonAir is dedicated to the smooth and efficient handling of all aspects general aviation,' Mace added. 'We are committed to providing an optimum service at all times and our new first class Business Aviation Centre facilities will ensure that aircraft, their owners, passengers and crew are well looked after in modern, spacious surroundings.'
