Four months after the project launch at EBACE 2010, Comlux has performed the first flight of one of its Airbus aircraft fitted with polished slats. The Aircraft, an A318 Elite has successfully flown from Brussels on September 22, 2010.

After slat polishing in Sonaca facilities in Brazil, the installation process required less than 24 hours and the aircraft was ready for dispatch again.

The A318 Elite equipped with the polished slats is on static display at NBAA 2010 during the three days of the show.

Richard Gaona, President of the Comlux Group says: "The aircraft looks really great. The polished slats give it a special VIP touch which can not compare with the classic slats. Together with Sonaca, the manufacturing company, we are really pleased to be able to offer this feature to the Airbus ACJ Family customers."
