FlightSafety International has expanded its locations for Pratt & Whitney Canada engine training to Australia, Brazil, China, Singapore and South Africa. This is in addition to locations in North America and Europe that will offer Pratt & Whitney Canada engine training. They include Dallas, Texas; Wichita, Kansas; West Palm Beach, Florida; Toronto and Montreal in Canada, and at the Paris-Le Bourget airport in France. FlightSafety provides advanced technology-based maintenance training for the full range of Pratt & Whitney Canada products including turboprop, turbofan and turbo-shaft engines. "Our customers will appreciate and benefit from the convenience and flexibility of having access to both airframe and engine training for their aircraft at the same FlightSafety location," said Mike Lee, Director Business Development, Maintenance Training. Technicians who support and maintain Pratt & Whitney Canada aircraft engines will also benefit from MATRIX, FlightSafety's Integrated Training System. It offers advanced troubleshooting capabilities and 3D animation that will help to increase their understanding of the systems. Their training will also include the use of full-scale systems trainers, major component cutaways, working models, maintenance task simulators and a large variety of test equipment used to demonstrate procedures and reinforce the information learned in the classroom. FlightSafety and Pratt & Whitney Canada are working together to update the previously developed courseware to include online and interactive training. Each engine model training course will have a prerequisite level 1 online course to be completed before training begins. The prerequisite course allows all technicians attending the training to have a common starting point in order to maximize the benefit they receive and increase the efficiency of the courses. The classroom and hands-on training provided by Pratt & Whitney Canada and FlightSafety highly qualified instructors is also available on-site at the Customer's location. FlightSafety's maintenance training is approved under FAA FAR 147, JAA, EASA, CASA, Transport Canada and most other regulatory agencies worldwide.
