FlightSafety International is pleased to announce that over 10,000 pilots and maintenance technicians have received FlightSafety's SafetyStar certification to date. They include pilots and technicians from leading corporate flight departments, aviation services providers, government agencies and aircraft manufacturers.

SafetyStar certification is awarded to pilots who have demonstrated a high level of proficiency during training that have received at least eight consecutive FlightSafety ProCards including one within the last year, and aircraft technicians who have achieved Master Technician Certification.

ProCards are issued to professional pilots who have completed a FlightSafety training program and consistently exceeded the ATP/Type Rating Practical Test Standards. They train at least once every eight months and meet or exceed FlightSafety's stringent standards for aircraft operations, systems knowledge, crew interaction and overall proficiency.

The five-part Master Technician Certification program includes comprehensive initial type-specific training, engine run and taxi training, troubleshooting and operational maintenance procedures. In order to receive this certification, technicians must achieve a grade of at least 90% on each exam. The length of time required to complete all phases of the training is approximately five years.
