American Art Collector, MediaJet and Modern Aviation have announced the launch of a groundbreaking national initiative that redefines the private aviation experience by integrating museum-quality fine art into fixed base operator (FBO) terminals across the United States.
Launching this summer, the enterprise introduces rotating, carefully curated exhibitions that transform private aviation FBO terminals into destinations of culture, discovery and fine art acquisition. Through the programme, Modern Aviation FBO terminals will feature collector-calibre artwork available for immediate purchase, with each exhibition curated in collaboration with leading regional galleries. The programme will debut with a pilot across four premier markets, namely Denver (KAPA), Seattle (KBFI), the Hamptons (KFOK) and Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex (KFTW), that are recognised as both established art hubs and home to exceptional private aviation terminals.
Collectors and travellers will have the unique opportunity to acquire works directly within the FBO. This approach introduces a new level of convenience and accessibility to the art-buying experience while seamlessly blending travel and cultural engagement.
While luxury retail has long had a presence in private aviation FBO terminals, this marks the first time museum-quality contemporary art has been thoughtfully integrated into the FBO environment at a national level. Expertly curated, each showcase will feature highly sought-after artists from across the country in a gallery-style setting designed specifically for discovery and acquisition by a sophisticated, travel-oriented audience.
"American Art Collector has been a leading voice in contemporary realism for over 20 years as a monthly publication, and when paired with Modern Aviation's reputation for delivering a premier private terminal experience, we've created something entirely new, making the discovery, acquisition and enjoyment of fine art more accessible, intuitive and exciting than ever before," said American Art Collector co-publishers Wendie Martin and Adolfo Castillo.
"We are excited to partner with American Art Collector and Media Jet on this innovative programme," commented Modern Aviation CEO Mark Carmen. "At its core, this collaboration is about elevating our clients' experience by bringing culture, creativity and a sense of discovery into our FBO terminals. At the same time, it allows us to support local artists and galleries in the communities we serve in a way that feels authentic and distinctly Modern Aviation."
This initiative represents a meaningful evolution in both the private aviation and art worlds, bringing together quality, convenience and culture in a way that reflects the expectations of today's luxury traveller.
