DAHER-SOCATA is exhibiting the TBM 850 for the second time at Moscow's JetExpo business aviation exhibition, where the company today announced its initiation of the application process for Russian airworthiness certification of the very fast turboprop aircraft.
"We received encouraging responses from potential customers for the TBM 850 during its first appearance at JetExpo in 2009," said Nicolas Chabbert, DAHER-SOCATA's Senior Vice President – Airplane Division. "As a result, we decided to apply for Russian certification this year. At the 2010 JetExpo show, our team also is starting the audit process for potential TBM service centers in CIS."
With its fast cruise speed, excellent range and low operating costs, the TBM 850 is well suited to Russia's business transportation requirements, according to Victor Kuklyaev, the General Director of Infinity Aviation – which is the authorized TBM 850 sales representative in Russia.
"In today's challenging economic conditions, DAHER-SOCATA's TBM 850 is just the type of aircraft that Russian business travelers are seeking for their personal transportation needs," Kuklyaev said.
