Overall, serious medical-related incidents accounted for 55 per cent of Great Western Air Ambulance Charity's total missions in 2024, while trauma-related injuries accounted for 45 per cent of missions.

The charity is set for a record year, perhaps 400 extra call-outs compared to 2023. Operating costs have therefore been increasing and the service is asking the public to consider making a regular donation.

The UK provider of specialist air ambulance operations will continue to provide exclusive aviation support to the GWAAC, including helicopters fitted with the latest kit, ground support, engineering and highly trained pilots.
