FAA certification clears the way for a composite tail rotor that removes elastomeric bearings and extends service life by 800 hours.

Van Horn Aviation is working with Piranha Aerospace Solutions to bring a newly-developed tail rotor assembly for the Airbus Helicopters H125 to market. The blades use the same airfoil as VHA's popular 206 series.

The 206B Version 2 composite main rotor blades use the same corrosion-resistant carbon fibre/foam core construction as VHA's original 206B main rotor blades. An FAA STC was granted back in August.
