Colibri Aircraft says the decline in the number of pre-owned jets is a global issue. As the number of new private jets being delivered was down by around 20% when compared to 2019, the lowest number since 2004.

The European private jet market has held up well during the Coronavirus crisis. Germany saw the largest number of pre-owned business aircraft sales in 2020; 32 private jets were bought worth up to $127 million.

Of the top 10 European markets, Russia, Turkey, Switzerland and Germany lead the way in terms of robustness. In August, Russia saw a 25.6 per cent increase in business departures compared to last year.
