Momentum is sustained over 2022 at MAC reliever airports

MAC reliever airports supported 342,000 operations in 2022, a little under the 2021 total. In the past five years, more than $50 million has been invested to provide a safe, efficient and modern system.
The new runway at Lake Elmo is part of a multi-year project to improve airfield infrastructure and provide safer operations. It will be safer, more efficient and support investments made by businesses and tenants.
The MAC's six general aviation reliever airports relieve congestion that would otherwise impact Minneapolis’ international airport. Last year saw a resurgence in business, leisure and educational flights.
