Synergy Aviation's Flight Centre supports Ufosa Foundation's Touch the Sky appeal

Synergy Aviation's Fairoaks Flight Centre, based at Chobham, Surrey, donated two flights to the Ufosa Foundation's Touch the Sky charity appeal, enabling three seriously unwell children to have the thrill of a lifetime by experiencing flights in a light aircraft. The Touch the Sky flights, utilising one of Synergy's flight training aircraft, took place on Tuesday August 31.

British Pilot and Ufosa Foundation Founder Robert Vallier launched the Touch the Sky initiative as part of a 350-mile sponsored walk from Sussex to Snowdon to raise funds for Ufosa. The walk takes place between Sunday 22 Aug and Sat 25 September and along the way Robert is lifting the spirits of seriously unwell or terminally ill children by taking them up into the air on flights donated by six Flying Clubs on the walk route.

"Synergy Aviation's Fairoaks Flight Centre was delighted to support such a worthwhile cause," said Glen Heavens, Synergy's Managing Director. "The children were utterly spellbound by their flights and I'm sure the experience will give wonderful memories for all involved."

Robert Vallier has suffered with Asthma since childhood. "Children suffering chronic illness can get very depressed and it can obviously be traumatic and stressful for parents too," Robert explains. "The aim of Ufosa is to help out a bit and bring a smile to the faces of the children and provide a bit of a break for Mum and Dad too."
