For years, Duncan Aviation has been providing clean air and peace of mind to owner/operators who have installed the Aviation Clean Air (ACA) system in their aircraft. This powerful air-cleaning ionisation system from ACA is for all Duncan Aviation clients who are interested in keeping the air in their aircraft cabins pathogen- and odour-free.
ACA is an active air- and surface-purification system designed to work with the existing environmental control system on aircraft to kill harmful pathogens and allergens as well as neutralise unpleasant, lingering odours during all phases of flight.
Because it's not a static air filter, the system actively kills viral, bacterial and fungal pathogens, such as those that cause the common cold, flu (swine, avian, etc.), MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), C. diff (clostridium difficile), E. coli (Escherichia coli), Ebola, pneumonia, polio and mould. The system has been tested and proven to kill the original coronavirus that caused SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) as well.
The ACA system's ionisation technology has been effectively used in several other industries for years, including in hospitals and operating rooms, office buildings, schools, airports, hotels and other community spaces worldwide.
The ACA system is equally adept at neutralising odours. Enclosed spaces, such as aircraft cabins, frequently harbour unpleasant odours from food carried on board, pets, lavatories, fuel emissions, and cigarettes and cigars, to name a few. The ACA ionisation system removes these odours quickly, providing a more pleasant sensory experience during the flight. As a bonus ACA system also reduces static electricity in aircraft caused by the relatively low humidity found in the cabin environment.
Duncan Aviation has created installation packages for the ACA ionisation system for BD-100 and BD-700 aircraft that incorporates everything necessary for installing the system including the STC (supplemental type certificate), the ionisers and PMA (parts manufacturer approval) parts kits. Duncan Aviation also has access to STCs to install the ACA system on other aircraft models.
“Additional access and modifications to the air plenum are required to install the ACA system. The ideal time to install this powerful system is during a scheduled maintenance or refurbishment event,” says senior avionics sales representative Scott Kruce. “However, because it takes less than two weeks to install, we can also perform this installation as a stand-alone event.”
