Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. recently celebrated its 45th year of providing Gulfstream operators with the industry-leading Computerized Maintenance Program (CMP) to track maintenance requirements for Gulfstream aircraft.
Now known as Gulfstream CMP.net TM, the program gives Gulfstream owners and operators real-time access to their aircraft's maintenance data and scheduled maintenance requirements to ensure they remain in compliance with airworthiness requirements. It tracks the maintenance status of Gulfstream and non-Gulfstream aircraft.
CMP.net is a web-based software platform that only requires an Internet connection to run. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the program provides owners and operators with the latest Gulfstream CMP task cards, including work instructions. Each enrolled aircraft is assigned to a dedicated analyst to assist with compliance management as well as develop a tailored maintenance package to meet each operator's unique scheduling requirements. Analysts are cross-trained to provide customer support regardless of the aircraft model or operator.
"We are very proud to have been the first business-jet manufacturer to offer a maintenance tracking system, and we are still the only industry OEM to provide and support such a program," said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream Product Support. "We are continuously improving and enhancing the service to meet our customers' needs. In 2004, we released CMP as a web-based platform. Two years ago, we added 24/7 onsite analyst support. Last year, the CMP department completed its first Lean Six Sigma exercises to optimize its work processes and ensure it continues to deliver the service that customers expect. And more refinements are planned for the future."
In 2009, the CMP.net staff processed more than 1.6 million records from more than 1,750 aircraft enrolled in the program. The 50-member staff includes analysts as well as management and administrative personnel.
CMP.net is accessible through myGulfstream.com, Gulfstream's proprietary, password-protected website.
