Securus Escrow Ltd receives official approval from HSBC Bank. Process agent role also established

Securus Escrow Ltd, the independent service which handles escrow accounts on behalf of international aviation buyers and sellers has received official approval from one of the world's largest international banks, HSBC. This means that should a buyer or seller choose to utilise Securus services for the financial elements of an aircraft transaction, and wishes to move money through the bank, there are no delays whilst investigations are made into the veracity of the escrow service. Without this approval buyers and sellers may have to wait up to a month for the process to pan out, so delaying the transaction significantly.

"This is very good news for our customers," says Geoff Gates MD of Securus. "It demonstrates that Securus is a professional company recognised by key financial institutions and confirms to our clients that their money is being professionally handled. With the significant sums involved this adds a real level of confidence and security for our clients."

Securus is now also a fully established process agent. The process agency service offers a means of providing an address for buyers and sellers within the legal jurisdiction of the United Kingdom. This gives the parties involved the opportunity to appoint Securus Escrow to accept legal documentation on their behalf. Clients can then be assured that important notifications are dealt with efficiently, avoiding any loss of time which could be detrimental to the transaction.

"Along with funds, Important documents relating to the transaction can be held and processed by the company. Securus clients know that they have all the information and finance relating to the transaction in a secure single environment," continues Gates.

"Our deals take place across a number of continents. We recently completed a $15 million deal for a Gulfstream IV, which is registered in the Isle of Man, that involved the USA, Canada and UK, and with this approval the clients experienced a quick and efficient service. The whole process took just seven weeks," explains Gates.

Andrew Hoy, Managing Director, ExecuJet Aircraft Trading who was brokering the deal commented: "Securus Escrow offered a seamless and efficient service which resulted in the deal completing in a timely and well organised manner. Their escrow service ensured that all parties were satisfied the deal was being handled professionally."

Having launched just four months ago Securus is already offering its services to a number of buyers and sellers, and is near completion on six different deals. "Our aim is to achieve 40 deals by the end of June 2011 and after a very short time we are already seeing increased interest in our services. This autumn we will be setting our sights on the commercial aviation sector, as well as looking East to expand our market," said Gates.
