Press Release
Issued by High Flying Hangars.
June 25, 2025
The soaring demand for high-end commercial hangars in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metro area will find a much-needed answer with the latest hangar initiative now moving forward at Denton Enterprise Airport (KDTO) in Denton, Texas. High Flying Hangars is pleased to announce it has received approval from the City of Denton for a 40-year lease for a new hangar development at Denton Enterprise Airport.
Mayor Gerard Hudspeth welcomed the prospect of growth at Denton. “With over 110,000 square feet of hangar space, the High Flying Hangars development will bring a much-needed resource to our aviation community and support the growth of the Denton economy,” said Hudspeth. “We are thrilled to have it invest in Denton Enterprise Airport.”
High Flying Hangars CEO Kenny Hinkes agreed that the investment makes sense on all sides. “We are so pleased to partner with the City of Denton and the team at Denton Enterprise Airport to build our first hangar development in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan market,” Hinkes said. “We're committed to serving the rapidly growing needs of aircraft owners. We understand what they desire most in a private hangar, as long-time aviators and developers.”
The hangar development will include 44 state-of-the-art hangars available for purchase, intended for the storage of a wide range of general and business aviation aircraft. All hangar sites will include city electricity, water and sewerage, with additional amenities available depending upon the size of the unit and the client's requirements.
High Flying Hangars intends to break ground on the new development before end of 2025, with the goal of having hangars available to owners in the calendar year 2026. The total value of the development is estimated at $21 million.
