RUAG Business Aviation appointed Ulrich Gehling as new General Manager for its facility in Oberpfaffenhofen, near Munich in Germany. Having a strong background in aviation, Ulrich Gehling will contribute to RUAG Business Aviation's organizational excellence and maintain growth in the fields of MRO and refurbishment.
Ulrich Gehling has joined RUAG Business Aviation in June 2010 coming from Grob Aircraft AG, where he held the position of the Chief Operating Officer. In this position, he largely contributed to the company's successful re-launch and re-structuring after the change of ownership in February 2009.
Before joining Grob, he served Pilatus Aircraft in Switzerland for about 15 years. In his last assignments at Pilatus, Ulrich Gehling successfully managed major development projects such as the new PC-12NG business aircraft and the PC-21 military fighter pilot training platform. Ulrich Gehling is holding a Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering as well as in International Business Administration.

As a centre of excellence and Authorised Service Center for Cessna Citation, Bombardier Challenger and Global Express as well as Embraer Legacy, the Oberpfaffenhofen site plays an important role in implementing the new focused strategy and creating true value propositions for customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
