Life Link III, the not for profit ctirical care transport provider operating throughout the U.S. Upper Midwest, is proud to announce that it has once again been awarded full accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) for both its rotor wing and fixed wing services. This prestigious designation extends across the entire Life Link III programme, including its helicopter and fixed wing bases located throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. Life Link III has maintained CAMTS accreditation since 2007, with reaccreditation required every three years. This latest accreditation extends from April 1, 2025, through April 1, 2028.

“This reaccreditation is a reflection of our unwavering focus on safety, quality and operational excellence,” said Josh Howell, president and CEO of Life Link III. “It underscores the trust that patients, partners and communities place in us every day and speaks volumes about the professionalism and expertise of our entire team.”

The process includes a thorough document review and an intensive multi-day, on-site inspection. Programmes are evaluated across all areas of operation including medical direction, crew education, communication systems, safety protocols, quality improvement and patient care documentation.

“Achieving CAMTS accreditation is a significant accomplishment that reflects a steadfast commitment to excellence in medical transport,” said Jan Eichel, executive director of CAMTS. “CAMTS standards, developed and continuously refined by a board of seasoned safety and medical transportation experts, go well beyond regulatory requirements. Accredited programmes undergo regular, rigorous audits to ensure ongoing compliance and the highest level of patient care and safety," she added.
