RUAG Business Aviation Geneva: customers benefit from new focused approach

The Slovenian Government, a recently acquired customer, gives high marks to the new service organization of RUAG Business Aviation in Geneva. Since the beginning of 2010, RUAG Business Aviation has been moving forward with a focused strategic approach by concentrating on selected aircraft types, services and sites. As a centre of excellence in maintenance for Dassault Falcon, Embraer Legacy, Pilatus PC-12 and Hawker Beechcraft, the Geneva site plays an important role in implementing the new strategy and creating true value propositions for customers.

One customer to benefit from the new maintenance organisation in Geneva is the Slovenian Government, when a Falcon 2000EX was entrusted to RUAG Business Aviation for a C1 Check and a wing tank modification, called "dry bay" modification, (a first in Geneva) to be completed within a challenging five and a half weeks downtime. Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia Marjan Bojic, pilot of the S5-ABR, expressed his satisfaction with RUAG's repair and maintenance service: "The team accomplished a very demanding scope of work and proved to be highly proficient in the respective fields. We admire the excellent attitude with which the experts set about their tasks. They have shown a very high level of understanding of our requirements."

Christian Pinter, General Manager of the Geneva site, is pleased to have earned such an outstanding assessment from the Slovenian Government. He sees it as a direct result of the newly focused approach: "Our specialists on site are guaranteeing first-class services with a short downtime and at reasonable prices – these represent true added value for our high-profile customers."

With more than 100 employees, the RUAG Business Aviation site in Geneva offers premium services to customers in the fields of private, business and governmental passenger aircraft. Services include maintenance, modifications, engineering, refurbishment and painting. Based on the new strategy, performance portfolios and organisational processes are being optimized to focus even more strongly on delivering excellent quality on time.
