PremiAir, the expanding UK helicopter charter and management company whose expertise extends to fixed wing and helicopter maintenance/engineering and police air support, has selected aviation PR consultancy, Emerald Media, to handle its aviation trade press and publicity, effective immediately. 

The Hampshire-based consultancy will support PremiAir, part of the von Essen Group of Companies, within its key aerospace markets, as well as providing regular updates on progress at The London Heliport, now wholly owned by the von Essen Group and managed and operated by PremiAir.

PremiAir offers the largest and most comprehensive business helicopter charter service in the UK and has more than 160 employees operating mainly from bases at Denham in Buckinghamshire, Blackbushe in Surrey and at the London Heliport at Battersea.

PremiAir's current charter fleet includes Sikorsky S76, Eurocopter AS355 Twin Squirrel and Bell 222 aircraft.   All its business helicopters are equipped to fly in IFR conditions, enabling its highly experienced pilots to fly at night and in poor weather conditions.  All PremiAir's aircraft are maintained by PremiAir Aircraft Engineering.

Emerald will report to PremiAir's senior management team and will focus activity on aviation trade media.   It will also handle out-of-hours media calls.   PremiAir's business travel trade requirements will continue to be dealt with by Surrey-based Proud PR.    

Emerald Media, marking its 14th year in 2007, is based at Alresford, Hampshire and has affiliates in Germany, Spain, the USA and Australia.  Emerald represents a number of aviation clients including Grob Aerospace, clickair, Airport Coordination Ltd, Newquay and Coventry Airports.
