PATS Aircraft Systems, a division of DeCrane Aerospace, is pleased to announce the early delivery of its 13th BBJ interior completion, delivered with an interior STC granted by PATS' ODA on behalf of the FAA. The BBJ (737-700IGW) was delivered to an Asia/Pacific based owner with a multi-configuration interior STC tailored to the specific mission requirements of both long-range and short- haul routes and significantly below the specified maximum interior weight. The PATS multi-configuration interior STC consists of fully integrated components from the DeCrane Aerospace group of companies including cabinetry from Precision Pattern Interiors, Cabin Management System from Audio International and VIP seating by DeCrane Aerospace Aircraft Seating.
Delivered under the new leadership team at PATS, this early delivery is indicative of the service future BBJ interior completion customers will receive at PATS. "Our focus, going forward, is in dedicating our experienced completions resources to the highest quality & on time delivery that our customers deserve. This early delivery and satisfied customer is indicative of the new PATS commitment that my entire team now lives by: Personalized Attention To Service", said John Martin, PATS General Manager. The next completion position is currently available for contract in Q3 2010 and PATS is actively working with several customers to fill this, and future, positions.
As with all BBJs, the aircraft is equipped with a PATS Auxiliary Fuel System (AFS). The AFS is installed in the forward and aft cargo compartments in a 3FWD/5AFT configuration. The 8-tank configuration is equipped to hold nearly 3,600 gallons of additional fuel and allows for a total aircraft range of up to 6,090 nautical miles. PATS auxiliary fuel system STC kits are also available in numerous configurations for aftermarket installation in B737NG aircraft. Because each BBJ passes through PATS' facility for installation of the AFS, PATS encourages BBJ customers to consider coupling their interior completion project with the AFS installation at PATS to reduce the total aircraft down-time prior to entry into service.
