July 4, 2024
Brazilian full service business aviation company TAM Aviação Executiva has announced the opening of a new ground handling service base at Guarulhos International Airport, São Paulo, where it will have the capacity to service aircraft on domestic and international flights. The initiative marks another step in the expansion of the company, which has been making consistent investments and expanding its area of operations in the country.
The new base, scheduled to open on the 15th July, will offer customers all the support they need with the standard of services that is already a trademark of TAM AE, including bilingual service (Portuguese and English); 24-hour flight coordination, flight planniing, meteorological briefing and NOTAMs; coordination for fuel supply; internal transportation for passengers and crew; immigration and customs procedures; flight attendants, hotel reservations and transportation.
“Guarulhos is the largest and busiest airport in Brazil, a gateway for flights from several countries. This in-house service base allows us to offer complete support and excellent services in a strategic location for executive aviation. This is undoubtedly an added convenience and ease that greatly benefits our customers,” says Leonardo Fiuza, president of TAM Executive Aviation.
With over six decades of operations in Brazil, TAM AE is a reference in domestic and international airport services. Recently, in May, it achieved Stage II of the international IS-BAH certification, which is granted by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). The IS-BAH certification encompasses a set of global industry best practices and exists to enhance the safety and efficiency of business aviation ground operators (FBOs) worldwide. This achievement attests that the company follows best practices for airport services, which is used as an international reference in the sector.
TAM AE has existing FBOs in Belo Horizonte, Manaus and Congonhas Airport in Sao Paulo.
