Press Release
Issued by Farnborough Airport.
July 6, 2010
CFM International, Bombardier, Asian Aerospace 2011, Breitling and MasterJet are among the companies joining TAG Farnborough Airport in staging events and hospitality at Aviator, Farnborough's luxury design hotel during Farnborough Airshow week.
TAG Farnborough Airport and TAG Aviation have moved their Airshow chalet to the TAG Group-owned property, conveniently located just a short walk from the show site with access to Aviator located next to the main air show entrance of Gate B.
Aviator will host a number of targeted events for TAG throughout the week of July 19th, ranging from a media event on the Monday to an International day with a key focus on bringing Olympic business to Farnborough on Thursday. There will also be a reception for IAWA, the women in aviation association, on Wednesday to showcase the hotel and Farnborough Airport. Also on Wednesday Asian Aerospace will host a press and industry briefing for invited guests.
Leading engine manufacturer CFM is kicking off the week with a pre-show media briefing on Saturday July 17th, Bombardier is utilising the impressive Sky Lounge, which boasts great views over the runway for two days of investor briefings on its Aerospace and Transportation businesses and Breitling will welcome 180 VIP guests on Sunday to enjoy the atmosphere of the hotel and the show.
"Bookings are coming in well, including those from companies who are opting for our exclusive day packages in the Brasserie or in private rooms," said General Manager Michael Helling. Aviator is also hosting its own refreshment chalet on the lawn for hotel guests and delegates who will be keen to learn more about the hotel.
"Having our own chalet will give us the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the benefits of our corporate hospitality packages, chalet options, evening receptions and meeting rooms to those that may wish to attend in 2012 or that have business in Farnborough year round. It also gives us a chance to demonstrate our fine services to industry VIPs and executives," continues Helling.
"Aviator is a great product and we will be maximising our presence at the Farnborough Show by entertaining industry executives and non-aerospace VIPs," said Brandon O'Reilly, Farnborough Airport CEO. "We are lucky to have this fabulous hotel, with its prime views over the show site, integrated with the Farnborough Airshow."
Aviator's hospitality packages have been designed to offer clients all the exclusivity of a hospitality chalet without incurring the expense and commitment of having someone to run it for them.
All Aviator's meeting rooms and bars are available as bespoke chalets or for exclusive corporate entertaining days. Tables at its popular Brasserie restaurant are being booked for lunch and tea in a package that includes entrance tickets to the show and a corresponding outside terrace table to watch the daily air display. A table for up to fourteen people is available from £150 per person. Car parking is also included, along with a private fast-track entrance to the show site.
Since opening two years ago, Aviator has quickly become an international destination due to the unique proposition of the hotel and airport facilities. It has become a favourite with leading businesses in the area including BAE Systems, FlightSafety International, QinetiQ, TAG, Nokia, Novartis and CSC. Aviator has also played host to successful product launches for the likes of Estee Lauder, Vertu, Cadbury and Audi, where the team at the hotel were able to work in partnership with the airport team to check a group of members of the press in at the hotel for the ultimate and seamless jet experience.
