Recently, a team of industry professionals with significant experience in the large aircraft arena formed a new company specializing in client and vendor support to owners and operators of larger business jet aircraft, known as bizliners. A bizliner is defined as a corporate airliner, or an aircraft type that is in use as a commercial airliner as well as a corporate or private jet, and includes current and out-of-production Boeing and Airbus models such as BBJ, ACJ, B767 and other wide-bodies, and some of the newer, smaller entrants into the market like the Embraer Lineage.
Currently there are more than two hundred VIP bizliners in service worldwide, with existing orders for more than sixty new aircraft. Hundreds of existing airframes also have the potential to be converted. "These aircraft are excellent values for owners and operators needing large cabins, long range, and great reliability," said Rodney M. Cook, Director of Aviation. "They are a very attractive alternative for a select group of owners, evidenced by the fact that they continue to be purchased and converted in the face of the recent economic downturn."
With Bizliner Aviation's experience and passion for aviation at its core, the company is positioned to provide a complete spectrum of support. Their real and recent experience, especially in the large VIP segment, along with their ability to network with industry-leading companies and individuals, provides a reliable single source of expertise to their clients. Their services are as varied as assisting in initial aircraft selection and acquisition, to certificate development, to aircraft operational and interior modification support. "Our team has diverse backgrounds, with a mix of international scheduled airline and VIP corporate operations and management," stated Cook. "Because of this, we can provide a completely bespoke, customised product, offering as much or as little service as needed."
"Our worldwide operational experience, specifically in the USA, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, gives us a unique perspective on the needs of our VIP customers," said Roger Pierce, Director of Operations. "We see these as the major regions of aviation growth in the next 10-20 years."
Acquiring and operating an aircraft not originally intended to be operated by private companies or individuals can be a very complex and expensive process, and airliner manufacturers generally aren't geared towards the service and support owners expect from corporate aircraft manufacturers. Filling that service gap is one of the major benefits Bizliner Aviation provides. "Bizliner Aviation is not a consultancy company based on theory. Our strength comes from extensive, real- world operational and management backgrounds," said Pierce. By successfully completing the types of projects and programs offered, the Directors have built a select network of the best vendors and service providers in the industry. "We have lived through these projects as end users, and understand the concerns and challenges facing our clients," added Pierce. "This is of tremendous value, allowing clients to benefit from our experiences and avoid the expensive and time consuming trial and error process when selecting needed products and services."
The company's goal is to provide a full range of support, from basic single-event consultancy, to interim crewing, to completions oversight, to full operations management. Owners and operators in the large VIP bizliner market can benefit from the teams extensive experience, including knowing what to do (and what not to do) and how and when to do it. In essence, Bizliner Aviation's capabilities provide a flexible program customized to the exact needs of their clients.
