London Oxford Airport hosts 4th annual Light Jets Europe - 23/24 September 2010

MIU Events in association with London Oxford Airport and the Oxford Aviation Academy will be staging the 4th annual event for the European light jet market at London Oxford Airport from 23-24 September, 2010.

This has been another difficult year for the operators of light jets in Europe. Belts are being tightened as the EU economies come to terms with the debt burden bequeathed from the banking crisis. The stuttering recovery has been further hampered by the clouds of volcanic ash spewing out of Iceland and blowing South over mainland Europe. What does this mean for the light class of jet in Europe? Is the air taxi model still viable? Have the efficiency and noise reduction qualities of the new class of jets proved sufficiently attractive to lure new customers and are entry level business jets providing the savings to operators and owners that were forecast several years ago? Additionally, how do you pay for and manage your light jet and ensure you have an asset working for your business? Once you've addressed all those issues how do you counter claims from the anti aviation lobby that light jets are elitist and are an easy target for the taxman?

Well, the opportunity to debate these issues and network with like minded folk presents itself at Light Jet Europe 2010 (LJE). We'll have speakers representing the regulatory authorities, legal, funding, insurance and finance experts, the operators and owners, the maintenance, support and airworthiness professionals, flight planning and pilot training interests, brokers and re-sale experts, the established OEMs, new manufacturers entering the market and those supplying innovative and creative solutions for the light jet market.

The event will feature sixteen exhibitors in the OAA academy area and in the area immediately adjacent to Oxford Jet building and the static display will have more than 15 aircraft. At the close of Day 1 there will be an evening reception and dinner in Woodstock and there will be a host of networking opportunities throughout the two day event. Delegates registering before 23 July will enjoy the Early Bird discount rate of £350 + vat = £411.25, rising to £425 + vat = £499.38 after 23 July.

For registered delegates arriving by air, all landing and parking fees are waived for the duration of the event and fuel will be supplied at the 'residents rate'.

Conference delegates also enjoy discounted hotel rooms at three hotels in Woodstock (a 10 min drive from the airport) and First Class Cars will provide complementary connections to the hotels. For full details on the event please access the link at: http://www.miuevents.com/vlj-e-10
