Piaggio Aero Industries and AirFlite Pty Ltd. have signed an agreement to qualify and approve AirFlite Asia as an OEM appointed maintenance provider for Piaggio Aero P.180 Avanti/ II aircraft in the Asia Pacific Region. AirFlite Asia, based in Singapore, also home to Piaggio Aero's S.E. Asian sales center, Kirkwall Pte Ltd, will provide complete maintenance, repairs and overhaul services as well as spare parts for the range of P.180 Avanti / II aircraft.
This appointment adds to Piaggio Aero's continued expansion and commitment to the South East Asia region by adding another new service center to their expanding worldwide customer support and service network. Current and upcoming P.180 Avanti II operators, will benefit from the fully trained and first class maintenance services provided by Airflite Asia, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Airflite Pty Ltd.
This appointment underlines Piaggio Aero's commitment to customer service. "Our customers need a service center network that can assist them in the management of their aircraft's day to day maintenance," said Paolo Ferreri Piaggio Aero's Vice President Customer Support. "Airflite will professionally support a large part of our Avanti II fleet in Asia and, as the size and requirements of our client base in the region continues to expand, the most efficient way to support this growth is to have a fully equipped base within the region. Airflite was the perfect choice".
Feedback from industry, aircraft operators and owners in the region suggested that a maintenance organization with customer focus and renowned high quality workmanship would be a welcome addition to the Piaggio Aero expansion in Asia. From its base in Singapore, Airflite Asia is in an ideal geographic location for supporting owners and operators in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Thailand and Vietnam.
