JetBrokers Europe - headquartered in the UK and Geneva - and the European division of the long-established USA based JetBrokers, today announces the appointment of Ilaria Cicchetti to head up expanded operations in Germany and Italy. Based in the new JetBrokers Berlin office, Ilaria will be responsible for developing the network of clients throughout the German and Italian region, along with supporting translation work and business research.
Ilaria has lived in Berlin for seven years and already boasts an extensive set of aviation contacts: "I think of myself as an Italian from Berlin and I'm looking forward to generating a strong network in this market as there is great potential. I'm hoping my Italian and German cultural perspectives will be an advantage when building the business," she comments. Tim Barber, MD of JetBrokers Europe said: "Ilaria is a welcome addition to the team and brings a wealth of skills including great aptitude, the right attitude along with fluency in German, Italian and English. Within a few days of joining she was able to pick up dialogue with an Italian client, as well as some prospective buyers who enjoyed being able to speak in their mother tongue."
Ilaria's language skills buoy up the JetBrokers strategy of communicating with clients in their own language. "With Ilaria on the team we can now cover English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. We have already translated the website into these languages and hope to go live within the next few days. The next step will be to add Russian in the near future," said Barber. "It adds value to the service for our clients when they are able to communicate about complex deals in their own language. It also gives us a competitive edge by differentiating our offering from others in the market place." As well as the geographic expansion, JetBrokers Europe has successfully broadened its client base. "Our portfolio now includes family offices, high net worth individuals, corporate departments and financial institutions," commented Barber.
In the pre-owned market JetBrokers Europe has seen an increase in activity since the beginning of 2010 and has consistently presented over 30 aircraft available for sale, in conjunction with JetBrokers Inc. The European aircraft have been listed by sellers in the UK, France, Italy and Switzerland. "Opinion is divided as to whether the market has bottomed out and there is no doubt that almost all business aircraft types have experienced significant reduction. However, our view is that a sense of stability is returning to the aviation landscape."
JetBrokers Europe is now experiencing a huge amount of activity and has an increasing number of deals in the pipeline. "As a result of our innovation and consistent hard work, combined with a growing business confidence, we've had a great start to 2010. We are genuinely optimistic about this year and whilst it will be a long time before there is a return to premium pricing in certain sectors, we are increasingly encouraged about business opportunities in 2010," Barber concludes.
