MT-Propeller received the FAA STC SA00037IB for the installation of the three-blade MTV-12 propeller on the Piper PA-34-200 series Seneca I.

FAA awards STC for Piper PA-34-200 Seneca I with three-blade MTV-12 MT-Propeller

MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received the FAA STC SA00037IB for the three-blade MTV-12-B-C-F/CF(L)183-59( ) propeller on the Piper PA-34-200 Seneca I powered by Lycoming IO-360-C1E6 and LIO-360-C1E6 engines. This installation is already certified by EASA STC 10076572.

MT-Propeller vice president Martin Albrecht says, that the installation features the following advantages:

- Best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration-free propeller operations

- Bonded on stainless steel leading edge for best erosion protection of the blades

- Take-off distance slightly improved

- Up to 20 lbs less weight than the original propeller

- Unlimited blade life

- Increased ground clearance for less blade tip erosion

- No rpm vibration restriction
