Cessna's Citation XLS+, Sovereign displayed at EBACE

Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, will feature a Citation XLS+ and Citation Sovereign among its full line of Citation business jets on static display as part of the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibit (EBACE).

"The Citation XLS+ and Sovereign are well suited for the European market," said Roger Whyte, Cessna's senior vice president, Sales and Marketing. "Both aircraft are known for their reliability, short runway performance and low speed handling characteristics making them ideal for travel within the region."

The Citation XLS+, part of the mid-size Excel/XLS family, is the latest version of the world's best-selling business jet model. The XLS+ travels as fast as 817 kilometers per hour (441 knots) with a range of more than 3,441 kilometers (1,858 nautical miles). At maximum takeoff weight it will depart from runways as short as 1,085 meters (3,560 feet) at standard sea-level conditions. It will land on runways as short as 823 meters (2,700 feet) at its typical landing weight.

Cessna expects to deliver its 300th Citation Sovereign later this year. The first Sovereign was delivered in late 2004. Certified for operations to 14,326 meters (47,000 feet), the Sovereign can take off from airfields as short as 1,109 meters (3,640 feet) and has a maximum range of 5,272 kilometers (2,847 nautical miles) and a maximum cruise speed of 848 kilometers per hour (458 knots true airspeed).
