Sun Air Jets is honoured to be a partner of The Justin Turner Foundation and is proud to have recently supported its largest annual fundraiser. The sixth Annual Justin Turner Golf Classic was held at picturesque Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California on Monday, February 7th.
Golfers included current MLB players Cody Bellinger, Mookie Betts, Scott Kazmir, Mike Moustakas, Albert Pujols, Corey Seager, Will Smith and Chris Taylor in addition to former Dodgers, Andre Ethier, Shawn Green and Eric Karros. Turner also golfed alongside his teammates and guests.
The event also included a silent auction and awards reception. A kickoff party was held on Sunday, February 6th, at a private location in Malibu, California.
“We’re thrilled that our most important fundraiser is back and could kick off the week of the Big Game,” said Justin Turner. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to welcome our supporters and friends for a memorable day in support of what’s dearest to us, our charitable work in the city we love.”
Sun Air Jets president, Brian Counsil, stated “Sun Air Jets was pleased to partner with the Justin Turner Foundation and Vayner Sports in raising much needed funds for worthy charities. Everyone that we worked with for the fundraising events was fabulous. Their organisational efforts and commitment to raising funds from sponsors, donors and friends was well rewarded by substantial contributions. We look forward to supporting their efforts into the future as well.”
In 2016, Justin Turner and his wife Kourtney founded the Justin Turner Foundation, whose mission is to support homeless veterans, children (and their families) battling life-altering illnesses and diseases and various youth baseball organisations.
Through their efforts, the Dream Center is able to support and provide housing for 26 male veterans. Following the success of the programme, the Turners were able to assist with the opening of the female Veterans programme, which provides housing and support for 18 women. Additionally, since its founding, The Justin Turner Foundation has provided over 70,000 toys and 14,000 bicycles to children in the Los Angeles area through its holiday giving efforts.
Justin Turner Foundation has continually partnered with the Dream Center throughout the Covid-19 pandemic to assist its drive-thru and walk-up food and essentials line.
