The on-time departure of Air Malta flight KM 785 from Sofia to Valletta 2 weeks ago marked the start of operations of Swissport Bulgaria. With the presence of Swissport Bulgaria the airline community at Sofia airport now benefits from a competitive market environment, which will positively impact the price and quality of the ground handling product in Sofia. Swissport Bulgaria has also made substantial investments in people and equipment in order to offer an attractive ground handling product. Many staff has been fully trained by certified trainers and major investments (millions of euros) took place in new equipment. Furthermore SP Bulgaria is also pleased to announce that LOT Polish Airlines has chosen Swissport as its new handling agent at Sofia airport as of August 2007.
