France Air Expo has announced the conference programme for the annual French general aviation exhibition, which takes place this year at Lyon-Bron airport from June 17-19.
This year theshow is innovateing with a hybrid edition combining face-to-face and digital, so everyone will be able to participate in the first general aviation meeting of the year. In addition to the face-to-face version at Lyon-Bron airport on June 17, 18 and 19, the event will be online on a digital platform accessible from the show's official website. This virtual version will offer additional broadcasts of business meetings, the exhibition space and conferences and will allow many people to be connected online.
The virtual edition of France Air Expo 2021 will remain open online until June 30, thus offering a greater number of people to discover the latest news in general aviation.
France Air Expo's conferences programme includes:
Thursday June 17: Green Aviation:
- Electric aviation and flying clubs, what possible model?
- Reducing the environmental footprint of flying clubs and airports, what actions have already been taken and what projects are to come?
- Retrofitting existing aircraft: keeping assets and upgrading them with electricity
Friday June 18: General and Business Aviation, a new airport networking tool serving the general interest:
- Light aviation, social utility and opportunities; the arrival of the electric plane, a change in learning programmes; general aviation and business aviation, two activities that are closer than one might think
Saturday June 19: How to Become a Pilot:
- All the levels needed to achieve this: BIA, LAPL, PPL; the role of federations, in particular the FFA
- The particular case of the Air Force; the scholarship system; gateways to airline pilot training; US licences
In addition France Air Expo will for the first time present to the public the Voltaero Cassio, the Diamond DA50RG, the Tecnam P2010 TDI, P2008 JC and 92 Echo MkII, the new Autoland certified Piper M600, the VELIS Electro presented by the FFA and more than 60 aircraft.
