CSI Aviation Inc. adds ground ambulance to medical transport operations

CSI Aviation Inc., a global aviation services company, has added ground ambulance services to its medical flight services operation in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The company's medical operations specialise in long-distance fixed-wing air transport between hospitals that would be rendered ineffectual by ground or rotor-wing.

For the past four years, CSI Aviation has relied on local ground EMS transport between the airport and hospitals. The company observed a shortage of emergency medical services in the Albuquerque area, where there is a critical need for ambulances. To eliminate its dependency on local ground EMS crews responding to emergencies, CSI Aviation applied for state authority to provide its own ground ambulance service.

CSI Aviation is proud to serve the community of Albuquerque and remains dedicated to providing affordable medical flight services. With the addition of a ground ambulance, it can now supply low-cost ground ambulatory support throughout the Albuquerque area. CSI now provides intermodal patient transfers while increasing aircraft availability that had been impacted by 3d party ambulance delays.

Established in 1979, CSI Aviation, Inc. has grown into a global aviation company providing diverse air transportation solutions for commercial, private individuals and government customers. CSI fills a unique niche in the aviation industry – supporting aviation requirements for air charter services, medical flight services and aviation programme management. CSI Aviation also holds FAR Part 135 air carrier operating authority and provides air charter and air ambulance services.
