Julian Burrell has been appointed as director of charter sales for The Charter Company, the charter brokerage arm of Twinjet, the UK's longest established private jet operator.
Mr Burrell, 32, was sales manager for The Charter Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Twinjet which offers a 24 hour service with access to more than 1200 aircraft across the world.
John Keeble, founder and managing director of Twinjet, said: "Julian's promotion is in recognition of his efforts in more than doubling the turnover of The Charter Company in two years.
"The target of The Charter Company was a 10 per cent increase in revenue per year, but it has been more than 50 per cent year-on-year in two successive years. It's been a remarkable performance."
Mr Burrell joined Twinjet in January 2000, helping to set up The Charter Company in March 2005. He began his career with London-based Business Air Centre (BAC) before his move to Twinjet and has an MA in air transport management from Cranfield University.
The appointment precedes an office move for The Charter Company to new premises in Kingsway, Holborn, which will see the company treble its office space.
