Magellan Jets expands presence in Caribbean through green initiatives and supporting local tourism

Magellan Jets, a Massachusetts private aviation brokerage, is partnering with Little Gem Resorts, a family-owned and operated boutique hospitality company with exclusive resorts in Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and the U.S. Virgin Islands, to continue its commitment to sustainability and ensure its clients have access to safe havens for business and personal travel. The two brands will collaborate on a variety of projects throughout the year, focusing on two destinations, the iconic New England summer getaway of Nantucket with The Nantucket Hotel and the idyllic tropical paradise of the Caribbean with Lovango for the ultimate year-round partnership.

Lovango is the newest resort to come to the U.S. Virgin Islands in 30 years. Just a short boat ride from St. John and St. Thomas, the resort villa has its own private beach club, waterfront restaurant and ferry to provide additional transport options while ensuring guests' comfort and safety.

The new partnership will support coral reef restoration through Lovango's coral restoration programme, in alignment with Magellan Jets' road map to “Elevate Travel” through sustainability. The restoration programme aims to excite and educate visitors coming to Lovango about the importance of healthy coral reefs. Separated into three zones, guests will be able to see and experience the rescue, research and restoration of the reefs firsthand at the beaches near the Lovango while enjoying their own private paradise.

Magellan's clients who stay at Lovango also receive the feel-good benefit of knowing their investment supports sustainability and preservation of some of the most beautiful parts of the world. Additionally, as a part of Magellan's safe haven commitment, Lovango offers the privacy and seclusion clients look for, especially with the concern of staying safe and socially distant. To visit the island, a negative COVID-19 test is mandatory, though guests do not need to get tested again before returning home.
