The Pilot Training College of Ireland (PTC), the leading Flight Training Organization (FTO) in Ireland and fast becoming one of Europe's most respected flight school, has selected the Ascent® Flight Trainer™ for IR training.  The Ascent® Flight Trainer™ is a fixed base flight training device manufactured by Mechtronix Systems Inc., a leading provider of flight training devices worldwide.

The Ascent® Flight Trainer™ closely replicates the Piper Seminole PA-44 and will feature real time visual software supplied by Redifun Simulation Inc. (RFI), offering superior resolution and light point brightness.  This RASTERflight™ image generator is a unique component of the visual system that provides locally generated weather, moving models and special effects bringing FFS visual quality to the FNPT world.  The trainer also features two Garmin 430 GPS systems and fixed matrix projectors with a 180° wide cylindrical panoramic screen. The Pilot Training College of Ireland will seek JAR-STD 3A FNPT II qualification from the Irish Aviation Authority.
