Mechtronix Systems Inc., an MWC company, a world leading manufacturer of Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD), today announced the certification of the fifth FSTD recently delivered to Lufthansa Flight Training (LFT), successfully completing the order for five simulators. The FSTD's installed at the Bremen facilities are configured as Cessna CJ1+ and are used to train the airline's cadets for the initial phase of LFT's syllabus. All five devices obtained the dual certification JAR FSTD A FNPT II MCC and FNPT II under EASA regulations by the German Aviation Authorities (LBA).
"Being selected by a key institution like Lufthansa Flight Training for the second time is a real honor and we are very happy that the certification process was a success for the five units", said Mechtronix Systems' President Hervé. "This new success proves once again that Mechtronix' technology is particularly adapted to leading flight training organizations like LFT that have high-quality requirements which Mechtronix Systems is able to meet with our innovative FSTD's and FFS. We trust this new accomplishment will establish an ongoing relationship and we look forward to future collaboration with LFT."
The Cessna CJ1+ units, featuring Collins Proline 21 flight instrumentation, provide exceptional fidelity to the students via a high fidelity standard RSI Image Generator and a 220° x 40o wide field of view. Instructors and pilot students at LFT now benefit from state-of-the-art technology developments Mechtronix brings to their line of FNPT's when it comes to elements such as the Instructor Operating Station (IOS) allowing easier interaction between students and instructors. These cost-effective platforms come with a suite of specific airport databases to further enhance realism during training sessions.
