ETS Aviation launches LOW COST solutions for “stretched” flight departments

The latest list of operators drawn into the EU ETS contains 100's of corporate operators that use European airspace infrequently. For them there will be no concessions - they will have to submit the same reports as larger operators flying regularly to and from Europe. Many see outsourcing as a solution.

According to the British Business General Aviation Association, "PAGODA is now being delayed further while EU Member States' resolve how to fund the staggering £1M+ 'development' costs (for a system which EuroControl said a year ago didn't need further development), and the ongoing annual fees (£TBA)".

ETS Aviation conducted a detailed analysis of the differences between a complex and a simplified Annual Emissions Report. "The main difference is in the methodology of calculating the fuel consumption; all other parameters are the same." explained Denis Quinn, one of ETS Aviation's senior experts. If operators are claiming for free credits, they will need to use a complex methodology for the TK report". If they have a potentially large CO2 bill I doubt, basing the payment on an estimate will go down well with most CFO's"

According to David Carlisle, ETS Aviation's CEO "Small Operators are looking to outsource the ETS headache. They want a midway solution between a personal consultant and going it alone. They need access to aviation CO2 emissions experts, all year round; someone to take away the hassle, the administration and the report preparation. They don't want to pay high consultancy fees but have all the benefits of a consultant at a fraction of the normal cost. These experts should be aviation professionals who understand the ETS requirements and verification. Many operators want to send all their flight data to an expert for processing, particularly the Tonne Kilometre data, for the 2010 period to claim their free allowances".

Already helped 50 companies

ETS aviation has helped over 50 Companies, including, Airlines, Charter Management, and corporate flight departments.

Reduce Drag with Software

ETS Aviation launched the unique web based AVIATION FOOTPRINTER which reduces ETS administration, accurately records, reports and error checks ETS flight data, on top of a host of other functionalities. Already in use and will be linked to one of the most commonly used Business Aviation Flight Managements Systems in the world, CTA's FOS, Verifiers are showing interest in AF for remotely accessing ETS data.

But for many smaller flight departments, software is not the complete solution. A few flights including a member state each year requires little monitoring. However, the work involved preparing either a complex or simplified report throughout the year appears much the same.

Says Carlisle "This is headache enough for most and an unwanted distraction to all.

We developed the best low cost solution we could think of for flight departments to outsource their ETS obligations. The ETS Support Service acts as a private ETS department at a fraction of the cost if it were in house. Experts provide specialized support to optimize management time, monitor emissions, manage flight data from your operations and receive CO2 reports from simplified monitoring tools and prepare annual emissions reports. Our experts check for errors and help with verification. We save operators days of administrative hassle and they fast track to expertise across the spectrum of requirements."

According to Raj Samra, Chief Pilot And Director of Aviation. Next Generation Ventures.

"This is a solution for your ETS headaches, a one stop shop which comes highly recommended, you will receive great personalized service and results."

The ETS Support Service is provided via a modest annual subscription.
