In response to strong customer demand and a lack of efficient third-party service provision, London Stansted airport FBO Harrods Aviation has added aircraft de-icing to its extensive list of services.
With the purchase of an FMC LMD- 2000 truck, Harrods Aviation will be able to offer this service to all aircraft types handled at its Stansted facility. With a 6,500 litre heated fluid capacity and a working height of up to 14 metres, the rig will be able to support even the larger cabin aircraft regularly seen at this FBO.

We believe this is imperative to provide the exemplary service we are globally renowned for delivering. At our Luton FBO, we have been offering an in-house de-icing service successfully for years. We can now offer our customers the same at Stansted. I would like to thank Clear Sky Aviation for the staff training and would like to assure all customers that this service will be offered in accordance with SAE Global standards,” said Dan Holian, head of operations.
