Signature Flight Support Shannon introduces into-plane fuel services

Signature Flight Support has been awarded the license for into-plane fueling at its Shannon Airport (SNN/EINN) operation and will be the sole FBO providing this service on the airport.

The into-plane fueling service commenced in December 2009 and is available to all customers that pass through Signature Shannon, ensuring a quick turnaround and minimizing ground time.

The range of services offered at Signature Shannon will be further extended following the completion of negotiations between Shannon Airport and the U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) to offer pre-clearance services onsite. Once cleared, Signature customers will be able to fly directly into pre-approved U.S. airports from Shannon without the need to stop at a gateway airport when entering in the United States. U.S. pre-clearance is expected to commence in the coming weeks pending approval from the United States government.

Michael Ryan, General Manager for Signature's Ireland operations commented "The addition of into-plane fueling and the pending pre-clearance services will provide Signature Shannon's customers with unique flight planning options that will save them time and improve their ground time efficiency. This market-leading initiative will only be available through Signature Shannon and demonstrates our continued commitment to exceptional customer service."

Martin Moroney, Director Shannon Airport stated, "The extension of Signature's services is a very positive and timely development as Shannon moves to become the world's first airport to offer full US preclearance for General Aviation. We look forward to working with Signature Flight Support in developing this unique and innovative facility for the benefit of the international General Aviation community."
