Press Release
Issued by Austrian Technik Executive Services.
June 20, 2007
With the receipt of the final Fokker 100 out of a batch of 14 aircraft, Austrian Airlines shows its commitment to the operation of Fokker aircraft for its regional network. The Fokker 100's will be added to the Fokker 70 fleet that has been owned by the Austrian Airlines Group for many years.
This delivery marks the end of a fleet expansion program at Austrian Airlines which started in 2004 with the purchase of ex-American Airlines owned Fokker 100 aircraft. These aircraft have had major overhaul and modification tasks performed by Fokker Services in its Woensdrecht facilities, including the installation of a complete new interior.
The Fokker 100's will be operated by Tyrolean Airways (part of the Austrian Airlines Group) in order to expand their network in Eastern Europe.
