OAS Oberpfaffenhofen Aviation Service

Press Release

Issued by OAS Oberpfaffenhofen Aviation Service.

February 19, 2010

GAS German Aviation Group now largest privately owned handling service provider in Germany

In 2009 two more bases at TXL and SXF operated by its affiliate BAS Berlin Aviation Services have been successfully opened. The group which had started with a single station of CAS in Cologne in 1993 now is presented at almost any mayor German airport with own facilities.  GAS is the only privately owned German airport service provider group specialised in business jet and VIP handling and now operates own bases at: Cologne, Duesseldorf, Frankfurt/Main, Egelsbach, Berlin Tegel and Berlin Schoenefeld. Besides GAS arranges and supervises handling and connected services as well as flight permits, slots and mineral oil tax refund for all Germany on request.

Andreas Becker, founder and chairman of the group, expressed that there are still 2-3 more locations in Germany where he could imagine to build up own stations during 2010.

On Berlin he expressed his satisfaction, that although the airport granted the official operation of the existing GAT to a competitor "still it is BAS offering the only access to real VIP lounges at both locations of the German capital". Furthermore Netjets with its very high standards has just decided to use BAS handling from January 2010, because "Netjets as most of the business aviation customers who had used CAS, DAS or FAS services before were so satisfied with the service and would use us at any airport we are present."
