Press Release
Issued by SkyTrac.
February 16, 2010
SkyTrac Systems is pleased to announce that it will release the next generation of its software—SkyWeb V 3.0—at Heli Expo 2010 in Houston Texas. SkyWeb is SkyTrac's leading edge, web based asset management, mapping and reporting product. With a username and password, SkyWeb can be accessed from any computer with a web browser and a connection to the internet.
SkyWeb V 3.0 features weather overlays including precipitation and aeronautical TAFS, NOTAMS and METARS. It will enable users to generate reports on flight time and airtime for selected time periods and assets. It will also enable users' web access to a significant amount of historical data!
FlightWatch and Geofencing features enable SkyWeb users to set geographical flight restrictions and be notified when assets violate the boundaries. Users can fence assets into a specific area or alternatively identify areas in which assets should not be flying and be alerted when assets violate either restriction.
SkyWeb's new overdue report alarm automatically alerts a preconfigured list of people or agencies in the event that the hardware device stops reporting in flight. Due to the inherent reliability of SkyTrac's hardware, this may in fact, be the stakeholder's first indication of an upset situation.
Kathleen Wallace, SkyTrac President and CEO commented, "Our in-house software engineering team has taken SkyWeb to the next generation! We have combined extensive client feedback with the skill, experience and ingenuity of our engineers to create a state of the art, client centric, next generation release. Please allow us the opportunity to demonstrate the leading edge of flight following and Satcom support during Heli Expo 2010. We look forward to meeting with you!"
