At the end of January MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH held its biannual worldwide training sessions meeting in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA, gathering 97 representatives from 50 propeller shops, representing 14 countries and five provinces, including the MT-Propeller owned facility, MT-Propeller USA in Deland, Florida.
MT-Propeller vice president, engineer and testpilot Martin Albrecht lead the programme and presented new technical content and changes to improve the service to the customer. The time spent together exchanging information between the service professionals and members of the MT-Propeller development department constantly improves product maintenance, overhaul quality and customer service. In the near future all shops will be able to support best the OEM's composite blades and do all work to repair and overhaul them inclusive of leading edge replacement.
MT-Propeller certified service stations have to have trained and qualified technicians who attend the biannual MT-Propeller training. They must use the current MT-Propeller service documentation and the required tools and workshop equipment. They also have to establish a quality management system to verify their work on MT-Propeller products.
All together MT-Propeller has already certified 62 service stations all over the world, including the US, Canada, South America, Europe, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, for excellent propeller service for the more than 25,000 MT-Propeller systems that are flying worldwide on aircraft up to business airliners.
Training for European, Asian, Australian and African service stations is usually held at MT-Propeller's headquarters in Atting, Germany.
