Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has named Florian 'Flo' Thiele senior regional sales manager, Product Support Sales, for parts of Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Thiele, who is based in Zurich, Switzerland, reports to Jeff Hill, director, International Product Support Sales.

Thiele is responsible for maintenance sales to Gulfstream and non-Gulfstream operators in the following countries: France, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, the Ukraine, Cyprus, Turkey, India, Israel, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Pakistan.

Most recently, Thiele was responsible for Gulfstream aircraft worldwide as manager, Technical Services, for Jet Aviation Business Jets in Zurich. He also was a maintenance supervisor for Jet Aviation Zurich AG. Gulfstream and Jet Aviation are wholly owned subsidiaries of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).

Thiele began his aviation career as a European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)-licensed engineer in the German Air Force. He also has worked for Fairchild Dornier and Lufthansa Aero.
