Issued by Premier Aviation.
June 19, 2019
Premier Aviation has announced the establishment of new services at Elmira Corning Regional Airport. Premier Aviation will be offering full service fixed base operations (FBO) to include aircraft maintenance, aircraft fuelling and servicing including all general aviation terminal services.
Premier Aviation is also re-establishing a highly specialised aircraft brake and wheel maintenance service that operated out of the Elmira Corning Airport in the past.
"We have committed over two million dollars to the facilities and equipment at ELM, and we are excited about bringing enhanced aviation services to the Twin Tiers," stated Robert Cleary, president of Premier Aviation.
Premier Aviation is also in negotiations with air charter operators to base charter aircraft at Elmira. "Air charter services are a dynamic and growing sector of general aviation. ELM has lacked based charter aircraft at the airport for years. Having based aircraft substantially reduces repositioning costs and can provide nonstop air service nationwide," stated Cleary.
Premier Aviation is in the process of hiring aircraft fuellers, maintenance technicians and customer service staff.
