Boutsen looks ahead to show season after busy summer

Boutsen Aviation is looking back at a busy summer season, having recently closed a series of transactions with four sales and three new additions to its listings. This makes for a total of 375 aircraft sold to date over the course of Boutsen's twenty-two year history. As September progresses, the team will partake in a series of events both locally in Monaco as well as abroad.

The company recently added two Gulfstream G550 to its listings, MSN 5302 and MSN 5284 along with Falcon 8X MSN 410. “The integration of these three heavy jets into our inventory comes at a perfect time,” says founder and chairman Thierry Boutsen. “There is ample opportunity for this type of aircraft in the second-hand market at the moment, and I am sure they will go quickly.” While heavy jets took the stage for the new additions, the summer sales were all about light and mid-size jets.

Over the course of the past six weeks, Boutsen Aviation has closed two CJ2+, a Phenom 300, and a King Air E90 transactions. “It was a rapid succession of sales,” says broker Victor Roinson, who was responsible for the light jet sales. “Over the course of my four years with Boutsen Aviation, this has by far been the most active summer.”

The fast-pace summer will only turn into a faster-paced autumn: Starting on the 11th of September, Dominique Trinquet will be on site at the annual RUBAE show in Moscow and soon after that, sales broker James Hughes will partake in the Air Charter Expo at London Biggin Hill Airport on the 17th of September. On the 19th and 20th, he and Mr. Trinquet will both attend the Channel Islands Air Show. “After recently joining the team of Boutsen Aviation this past May, I am very excited to push forward this month into the UK market,” says Mr. Hughes. “These events provide the perfect opportunity to enhance our presence there.”

Closer to home, the Monaco Yacht Show will take place on September 25th to 28th. “We are growing our presence more and more in the yachting industry,” says Mr. Boutsen. “We had much success in the spring as a sponsor of the Superyacht Show in Barcelona, and we look forward to expanding even more since there is a very similar clientele.” This year, Boutsen Aviation will partner up with sister company Boutsen Design and Boeing Business Jets to host an exclusive cocktail event at the Monaco Yacht Club, amongst a series of additional events. It will mark the second year that the companies have collaborated together for the occasion of the MYS.
