Avant Aerospace is pleased to announce the promotion of John Hardy to director. He will be based at its East Alton, Illinois (ALN) facility while overseeing all Avant locations. Hardy has been with West Star Aviation for 13 years, formerly serving as director of avionics, accessories, NDT and aircraft services. He graduated from SIU-Carbondale and has over 30 years of aviation experience with previous positions held at StandardAero Springfield.

In this new position, Hardy will report to Avant's senior VP of parts and components, Pete McKernan, and will be responsible for sales, marketing and inventory sourcing. “The key factor for this position was to bring someone forward to build on our relationships with other MROs,” said McKernan. “John's avionics expertise will be a valuable asset to help customers with decision making on installs, application and product lines.”
