ASA reports sharp increase in private flights into Asia

Hong Kong's ASA Group, which offers VVIP security, ground handling and concierge services in the Asia Pacific region is enjoying its busiest winter season in several years. Chief executive Simon Wagstaff says: "We have been incredibly busy since the middle of December, so much so that we have had to beef up our team and bring in new staff." Flights are originating all over the world, with several jets coming in from North America, as well as from the Middle East, Europe and Asia.

Wagstaff continues: "There is a roughly a fifty-fifty split between business and pleasure flights and we are pleased to see that this upturn has lasted for several weeks now with no sign of abating."

The increase in business represents more good news for ASA, which last month announced that it has teamed up with London?s The Luxury Network (TLN) to bring a new concept in high-end B2B and B2C marketing to Asia.

Wagstaff adds: "The timing of the TLN venture has proved perfect for us. As more and more high-end travellers visit Asia, we have the opportunity to promote several other luxury attractions and venues, which is good for business throughout the region."

TLN is a dynamic affinity-marketing group in the luxury industry, with networks in Beverly Hills, London, Milan and Moscow and the Middle East. Its global portfolio includes the world?s most prestigious brands, such as Royal Jet, Sunseeker Yachts, Moet Hennessey and Harrods.

Each TLN network is exclusive to its territory and ASA owns and manages the franchise in Asia. Membership of TLN is by invitation only and facilitates business development between premium companies through strategic alignment, affinity marketing, co-branding, events and partnerships.
