Euro Jet to celebrate continued growth at EBACE

Euro Jet, the leading provider of ground support services throughout Europe and Asia, is pleased to celebrate its continued growth at this year's European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (EBACE) on May 21-23, 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland.

For the past 11 years, Euro Jet has experienced unprecedented growth in the number of customers served along with the company's continuing goal to provide the highest level of customer service. This year Euro Jet expects to serve over 10,000 flights throughout its core region of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

“Every year I have watched our flight volume increase significantly year on year throughout our core region and in other parts of the world. The strong global economy continues to allow the private aviation industry to grow and we are feeling all the positive effects as the demand for superior customer service in both flight coordination and on-the-ground support continues to climb to an all-time high,” says Gareth Danker, Euro Jet's director of global sales and marketing.

Since its inception, Euro Jet has worked to develop the airport experience by continuously opening complimentary crew lounges throughout the Euro Jet network. Last year Euro Jet opened up new lounges in in Sofia, Bulgaria; Warsaw, Poland, Belgrade, Serbia, and Zagreb, Croatia. This year Euro Jet will be opening up a renovated lounge at Bucharest's Baneasa International Airport. Euro Jet also has lounges located in Prague, Czech Republic; Poprad, Slovakia; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic; Constanta, Romania, and Tivat, Montenegro.

This year has also seen tremendous growth at its flagship station located at Prague's Vaclav Havel International Airport in the Czech Republic. Last year Euro Jet obtained a handling licence in Prague and has continuously hired more staff to manage the significant increase in business.

Euro Jet's Prague location has complimentary crew lounges located both streetside and rampside along with two ramp cars that include Mercedes and Lexus vehicles. Euro Jet also has a wide range of equipment consisting of a Lektro towing vehicle, water and lavatory carts, a GPU and maintenance steps that are all stored in Euro Jet's hangar.

With the continued increase in flights and goal of taking care of every trip with the highest level of customer care, Euro Jet has increased its staff and developed its own customised software at its Prague based operations control centre (OCC).

“This year we have taken significant steps to deal with the increased amount of flights by implementing new technology in our OCC, in addition to adding more supervisors in our catering, hotels and fuel department. These changes were essential to providing the highest quality of service during the busy summer months as well as one-time events that often double the amount of business coming in. This year we have seen some major events that include Romania's EU Presidency Summits in both Bucharest and Sibiu, and the Ice Hockey World Championship which is taking place right now in the Slovakian cities of Bratislava and Kosice. The next big events that our OCC team will take care of along with local staff will be the UEFA Championship games in Baku, Azerbaijan and the European Games in Minsk, Belarus. This summer we also expect to have an increase in our flight traffic going into Croatia and Montenegro,” says Paul Lourenco, Euro Jet's director of strategic planning and development.

This year Euro Jet also broke a record by having 72 key ground personnel successfully pass NATA's Safety 1st Pilot Line Service Training (PLST). Euro Jet was the first ground support company in Eastern Europe and Central Asia to have its handling agents certified. And every year it keeps increasing the number of team members receiving certification.

The increase in certified team members follows Euro Jet's long-term effort to promote the highest safety standards in its core region through hard work, dedication and the cooperation of many departments within the company.

“It is our belief that in aviation you can never stop learning. Ground handling, safety and customer service are limitless in their scope of knowledge, along with understanding the smallest details and ever-changing rules and regulations. Continued training is essential to ensuring you have the best team out there,” says Charlie Bodnar, CEO.

“Last year we celebrated our 10-year anniversary which included us opening up new lounges, expanding our staff, while also experiencing record growth in the number of flights. A big gala dinner held last September in Prague brought together top customers, vendors and most of our staff from around-the-world. It was a celebration of our hard work and the trust our customers bestow upon us. We remain committed to continuing to work every day to ensure our customers always have the best possible experience,” continues Bodnar.

Euro Jet provides the added service of supervisory agents that are based at over 200 airports in a geographic area that starts in the Czech Republic and covers the regions of the Balkans, Baltics, Belorussia, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Euro Jet can support nearly every aspect of a flight operation. This includes coordinating all handling arrangements with the airport authority and or local handling company, organizing permits, setting-up fuel, fulfilling crew logistical needs that includes hotel and transportation and assisting with VIP catering. Euro Jet also offers credit to qualifying customers.
