Universal Avionics (UA), an Elbit Systems Company, is unveiling a new, complete flight deck specifically designed to support helicopter mission execution at night and during challenging weather conditions. UA CEO Paul DeHerrera and Elbit System's VP of commercial aviation, Dror Yahav, will present the new InSight Display System for helicopters and Heli-ClearVision Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) during an in-booth (#C4028) press conference on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 1:30pm (EDT) during the 2019 HAI Heli-Expo.
"By combining the latest, state-of-the-art InSight Display System solution and revolutionary Heli-ClearVision SkyVis Helmet-Mounted Display or SkyLens Head-Wearable Display, all supported by high-quality Enhanced Vision System Sensors, pilots can overcome harsh conditions while safely completing the mission," said Dror Yahav. "The overall solution offers emergency medical services operation, law enforcement, and search and rescue operators a new level of operability while enhancing the safety of the crew and passengers."
A fully-interactive InSight Display System and Heli-ClearVision EFVS demonstration rig will be available in UA booth C4028 throughout Heli-Expo. Dual Heli-ClearVision EFVS with SkyLens HWD and SkyVis HMD will also be interfaced to the InSight Display System, demonstrating all functionality.
The demonstration will feature unique scenarios such as creation of a "Mark on Target" waypoint using Heli-ClearVision's Line of Sight cursor function supporting life-saving missions.
